The Escalera Nautica is a megaproject formalized in the first quarter of 2001 with the objective to consolidate the US and Mexican marinas along the Sea of Cortes and the Pacific Ocean side of the Californian Peninsula and transform them into a world-class nautical tourism destination. The Escalera Nautica involves 4 states and at minimum 24 nautical steps including Mazatlan Marina.
